Recently I’ve been coming across some Marc Jacobs adverts, I immediately recognized the aesthetic. I know Teller’s work quite well, another German obsessive photographer. My mentor/lecturer Jonathan
What I like about Teller, is that his technique is simple, yet his personality brings out images from subjects. He creates fairytale narratives out of mundane locations. I can empathise, he has an imagination. Something many photographers today sadly lack. His Images are not even retouched.

“Throughout this series of work, we see Teller, who acknowledges little distinction between his personal and commissioned work, develop an intimacy with his subjects, through a ‘non-hierarchical and slightly irreverent’ approach, that reveals a certain and previously unseen truth.”
